Living in godless culture? Even a hostile one? We cannot allow the world to dictate our heart, our response, or our allegiance

Seeing the type of people we can become because Jesus is Lord, even while living an often-hostile world… We must…

Before Peter tells us how to answer the world, he reminds us who we are in general… And within the church first, and then moving outward

The world does get to decide how we respond to mistreatment, or what we chase in this l__________

Don’t repay evil for evil because of four specific reasons:

You were called to this way of life

You will be blessed

You want to enjoy life & see good days

You will have the favor of the Lord

Six instructions in 3:10–12:

Guard your tongue from evil

Guard your lips from deceit

Turn away from evil

Do good

Seek peace

Pursue peace

Read Psalm 34

C____________ the Lord Above All ~ 1 Peter 3:13-17

The world does not get to determine what we fear, value, or worship

Not fear, but h_________

Not control, but honor

Not guilt, but holiness

A connection (Isaiah 8:12-13)

Conclusion:

Can we survive a godless culture? Will they see love, peace, and hope in us?

Look to the Lord, as always (1 Peter 3:18-22)
